A Humanist Path is a research blog on humanism in the 21st Century. I am interested in humanist literature, psychology and mental health, effective altruism and impact evaluation, practical philosophy, human rights and other small steps towards saving the world. By a research blog I mean that my focus is on exploring ideas over current events and thoughtful discussion over point-scoring. As a blog, thoughts and ideas posted here are very much a rough draft. They reflect “thinking aloud” as a way of testing my own understanding and ideas, so comments and criticisms are very welcome. I am particularly influenced by David Hume, John Stewart Mill, John Rawls & Captain Jean-Luc Picard.
